Long Term contract in Bay Area, CA.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Responsibilities:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Ability to understand and explain domain concept to the team in correct and timely manner.<\/li>\n<li>Ability to interact with customer to figure out the details of work related to domain area.<\/li>\n<li>Works as an embedded domain resource in the team of size 4-5 on Life Sciences projects.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Qualifications:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>BE\/MSc or Equivalent in life sciences streams like molecular biology, biotechnology, medicine, bioinformatics etc. with exposure to informatics courses in life sciences<\/p>\n<p><strong>Experience:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>3-5 years of experience in Life Sciences IT industry. Experience in NGS is good to have.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Required Skills:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Good knowledge of at least one programming environment like Perl, Python, Shell etc.<\/li>\n<li>Sound knowledge of high throughput NGS techniques &amp; algorithms.<\/li>\n<li>Sound knowledge of different databases like MySQL, MongoDB, NoSQL etc.<\/li>\n<li>Skills in writing and executing test cases, keeping log of results and finding\/logging of bugs.<\/li>\n<li>Sound knowledge of software development methodologies; especially agile.<\/li>\n<li>Ability to gather information on new concepts in the domain and make presentations.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Please send us your resume to:<\/p>\n<p>vpatil@sohum.biz<\/p>\n<p>408-265-2391<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Actively seeking QA Engg with Bio Tech\/ Life Sciences background.
